‘Meet Your Meat’: Pigs
Although pigs are affectionate and even smarter than dogs, every minute of their lives is characterized by unmitigated cruelty. Watch the video.

Belcross Farm: North Carolina
During an undercover investigation at a breeding facility, we discovered that workers routinely beat and bludgeoned pregnant sows with a wrench, rammed an iron pole a foot deep into terrified mother pigs’ rectums and vaginas, sawed off live pigs’ legs, and skinned pigs while they were still conscious and squealing in agony. Read more and watch the video.

Seaboard Farms: Oklahoma
PETA’s investigation at Seaboard Farms—North America’s third-largest pig meat producer— caught employees on videotape throwing, beating, and kicking pigs, slamming them against concrete floors, and bludgeoning them with metal gate rods and hammers. Read more and watch the video.

Humane Farming Association Investigations

• Nebraska
This investigation revealed that pigs were kept in barren metal crates so small that they were unable even to turn around. Pigs were covered in painful open sores as a result of rubbing against the sides of these crates and the faces, heads, shoulders, backs, and legs of other frightened and injured pigs. Read more and watch the video.

• South Dakota
A year-long investigation at a South Dakota pig facility documented gratuitous and systematic abuse, including beating animals with shovels and letting them drown in their own excrement, but authorities refused to do anything about it. These abuses were allegedly condoned by management. Read more and watch the video.

When Pigs Cry
This Viva! investigation revealed that most pigs are crammed into disease-ridden, indoor units where they live in their own filth. Watch the video.

Circle Four Farms: Utah
Investigators with the Utah Animal Rights Coalition discovered extremely crowded conditions, pigs with severe respiratory problems, and deplorable air quality. Watch the video.
